History
King's Kids International started in Hawai in 1976 under the leadership of Dale and Carol Kaufmann. God led them to lead children in His Kingdom through evangelism with creative programs. At this moment over hundred and hundreds teams of King's Kids already went on outreach to every continent. A lot of lives of young people are already changed. A lot of families are transformed through the love of God.The Beginning
In The Netherlands King's Kids started with 2 teenage girls who went on an outreach tour in 1989: Miranda Tollenaar and Carin Leegstra. In 1990 King's Kids started at Heidebeek in Heerde with a couple of teenagers while the parents were doing a DTS. The song 'this little light of mine' was learned to 9 teenagers and this was the start actually. Every free minute these people came together. Not only for practising, but they were also hungry to know more of God.
Wim and Sijtje Tollenaar
This team soon was invited to perform different festivals, for example The Mars of Jesus and Christian Artist. Because they needed spiritual leadership of adults Wim and Sijtje were asked to fulfill this role. In 1992 the first tour was with the Olympics in Barcelona. Wim and Sijtje were leading King's Kids until 2006.
Anak2 Raja
Freddy and Mariana Joel went also with the tour to Barcelona. They were so enthousiastic about it that they also wanted to go further with King's Kids. They wanted to reach out to the young people with an Indonesian background. A couple of years later they started Anak Anak Raja (Indonesian for King's Kids) and a lot of young people were blessed and were a blessing.
New Ministries
Out of King's Kids a lot of ministries are born like: Gen X (Youthband which grow out to Inside Out), Youth Alpha in Hattem (later grew out to Inspire), GO teams and violent protection programs. This grew out to Feed Forward. Still new activities and initiatives are developing like Youth Explosion and King's Kids in Belgium.
